This weekend we took a little trip to Cascade Springs in the Uintah Mountains. It was beautiful and it was really fun to spend the day together. We haven't really had a day to ourselves since our honeymoon, and with it being 3 months since we've been married it was like we were on the honeymoon again. Here are a few pictures of our fun adventure :)

SLCC Leadership Conference
Wednesday and Thursday I spent up at Snowbird for a leadership conference for the scholarship I'm on. It was a lot of fun, I got to meet tons of new people and make new friends, but I swear that it was a test to make sure that we were worthiness to keep our scholarships. Wednesday we had an awesome key note speaker that was hilarious and really motivational. I really enjoyed hearing him. After that we loaded the buses and we were on our way.
Once we arrived up at Snowbird we put our luggage away and took the tram to the top of the mountain. The tram ride was very interesting. Not only does it take you to the top peak of a mountain, but it does it without anything to hold onto inside of it. We were packed full with at least 60 college students trying to keep our balance as we're swinging thousands of feet in the air. That was the easy part, once to the top we got to hike down and when I say hike I mean hike. It was only 4 miles down the mountain (ONLY) but it took my group 2.5 hours!!! It wasn't your average walk in the park either. There were steep, narrow, one person width paths. Then add into the equation loose rocks and sandy dirt. It was AWESOME!!!! (there is sarcasim in that) By the time we got to the base of the mountain I was so sick of slipping and tripping, my toes hurt from being scrunched inside of my shoes, and my legs were shaking.
The next morning I woke up and my legs were so stiff and so sore I didn't know what to think. Just stretching in bed made me wince. Throughout the day it got better, when I sat down, but then when I stood up again I was given a reminder of how stiff and tight my muscles were. Later that day we were lucky enough to plant 1,000 tress as a group. You heard me right 1,000 and that's not exaggerating. So not only were we stiff and sore, but we got to work our arm muscles digging holes and planting little trees.
Usually I would have had a bad attitude about it, but I was trying to stay positive, and I did compaling, but I grabbed a shovel and started digging. The site we got to dig in wasn't very friendly. There were TONS of rocks and it seemed like every hole I dug had HUGE rocks in the middle or roots from the surrounding grass and ferns.
All in all it was a great experience. I learned a lot and it was BEAUTIFUL up there. I didn't take my camera up, but I did borrow a few pictures from my friend

We bought.......
A NEW CAR!!!!!
Okay, So it's not really a car, it's a grand cherokee jeep. We weren't planning on buying on for a few more months, but when Neight's car started to give him grief going up Parley's Canyon on his way to work we decided it was time. It's better that we were able to do it now when we both had time, instead of in the middle of winter when we're supposed to be at work or school. It's big and powerful and it'll take some getting used it.
Neight loves it. He looks so manly and likes that it has a V-8 engine. I have yet to drive it, but we only bought it yesterday. I'll try to put some pictures up tomorrow so you can see how big and RED it is. That's right, RED. It's nice and shiny though. I like shiny :)
